Privacy Policy
fitrospect (“the app”) is an iPhone app that reads your data in Apple Health, creates daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly retrospectives on your iPhone, and, when you choose to, creates share cards or exports text.
In short: the app has no account, doesn’t connect to the internet, and the developer receives none of your data. Health data is read and calculated only on your iPhone. Content leaves the app only when you choose to export or share it.
Developer
The app is developed and operated by Ziyuan He, an individual developer. For any question about this policy, email fitrospect@hitnrun.cn.
Data the app reads
After you allow access on the system access sheet, the app reads the following data from Apple Health:
- For retrospectives: workouts, steps, active energy, walking and running distance, cycling distance, swimming distance, and sleep analysis.
- For exports only (read only after you tap Add More Types on the export screen and allow access on the system sheet): other health data types such as heart rate, weight, and nutrition, plus characteristics such as date of birth, sex, blood type, and wheelchair use. Sensitive types such as reproductive health and sexual activity stay unselected in exports by default, even if you allow access.
You can allow only some of these types, or share only recent history. The app processes health data only on your device, and only to create retrospectives, share cards, and exports.
The app never writes, changes, or deletes any data in Apple Health.
The app collects no data
- No account, sign-up, or sign-in.
- The app doesn’t connect to the internet and sends no data to the developer or any server.
- No ads, and no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
- Health data isn’t stored in iCloud, and the app keeps no copy of it: it’s read from Apple Health and calculated each time you view it.
If you turn on Share With App Developers in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements on your iPhone, Apple provides crash reports and performance diagnostics to developers under Apple’s policies. Apple handles this data, and it doesn’t include your health data.
What stays on your iPhone
The app stores only settings on your iPhone, such as excluded sources, whether to compare with the previous period, the types you deselected and the question you picked for exports, share card options, and whether demo data is on. These settings contain no health data and are deleted when you delete the app.
Export files and share card images are created temporarily when you share and are deleted when the share sheet closes; the app cleans them up again the next time it launches. A share card is saved to your photo library only when you choose Save Image on the share sheet. For this, the app asks for permission to add photos; it never reads your photos.
Exports and sharing
Content leaves the app only when you act:
- Export: you choose a period and data types, can review the full text, and then copy it or use the system share sheet to save it as a file or send it to another app.
- Share card: you see the card first, choose what it shows, and then share or save it with the system share sheet.
Once content leaves the app, you decide where it goes, and the recipient (for example an AI assistant, a messaging app, or cloud storage) handles it under its own privacy policy. Text copied to the clipboard may be readable by other apps under iOS rules. The app has no AI features and never sends your data to any AI service on your behalf.
Your choices
- Change or remove access: open Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > fitrospect on your iPhone, or in Apple Health tap your profile picture, then Apps, and choose fitrospect.
- Exclude a source: turn the source off in the app’s Settings.
- Delete: delete the app to remove its settings from your iPhone. Your health data stays in Apple Health.
Because the developer collects and keeps none of your personal information, there is no data held by the developer to access, correct, or delete. Feel free to email with any question.
Not a medical device
The app only summarizes health data you already have. It isn’t a medical device and doesn’t provide diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. Answers you get after giving an export to an AI come from a third party; use your own judgment, and consult a doctor about health concerns.
Changes
If the way the app handles data changes, this policy will be updated and the effective date above revised. Any change that involves collecting your data will be announced in the app and require your consent first.
